Linda L. Thompson

Linda L. Thompson, 83, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2026. She was born on March 1, 1943, to the late Willard and Edith (Backus) Woodside.

A lifelong resident of Norwalk, Linda married the love of her life, Arthur Thompson Sr., in 1985. Together they built a loving family, and Linda cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm laugh, and kind heart. Linda loved to dance and found joy in tending her garden, camping with family and friends, and caring for animals, which held a special place in her heart.

Linda is survived by her children, Lucinda Schaffer, Tammy Blarek, Julie Kirk-Ojeda, Shaw Kirk, Chad Woodside, Mike (Maryanne) Thompson, Arthur (Myrtle) Thompson Jr., and Margaret Yacob; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Andrew, Raychel, Kiersten, Willie "Boomer," Madisyn, Kaden, Aubree, Catherine, Stephanie, Samantha, Andrew, Kelsey, Katherine, Victoria, Dillon and many great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Thompson Sr.; her daughter, Susan Christie; and her siblings, Roland Woodside and Sylvia Peterson.

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated and no public services will be held at this time. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
