Lindsey Rose Sonewald, 37, of Medina, died unexpectedly on June 13, 2023. Born on August 22, 1985 in Oberlin, Lindsey grew up in New London. She was the salutatorian for the New London Class of 2004.  She studied economics at Ohio State University and earned her Master's degree in International Money Finance and Investments at Brunel University in London, graduating in 2009.

Lindsey worked at Whirlaway in Wellington for many years. Since November of 2015, she was the Senior FP&A and Accounting Supervisor at Curtiss Wright Flow Control.

Her true passion was travel. Lindsey found great joy in exploring the world - visiting places such as Israel, Jordan, Turkey, China and much of Europe. Most recently, she was planning an adventure to Spain. She also loved to read.

Lindsey is survived by her parents, James and Sandra (nee Chokan) Sonewald, of New London; brother, Shaun (Jamie) Sonewald, of Wellington and many cousins.
