Obituary

Lloyd M. Blackburn, 54, of New London, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky after a lengthy illness. He was born September 29, 1954 in Washington County, PA. Lloyd grew up in Elyria, lived in Medina County and moved to New London in 2001. He worked for the Ford Motor Company in Brookpark for 21 years and belonged to the UAW 1250. Lloyd was a member of Coronerstone Chapel of Medina, New London Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and Kings Kids Motorcycle Ministry through the Cornerstone Chapel. He loved riding motorcycles and the outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Debra; children, Lloyd M. Blackburn II, Christine Blackburn and stepson, Michael Flint of Yorkville; mother, Ann Blackburn and sister, Shirley Justice. Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, William Blackburn and brother, David Blackburn. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 12 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 4625 St. Rte. 162 W., New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
