Obituary

Lloyd George Trigg, 91, of Wellington, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Born in Monroeville on May 31, 1917 to the late Ernest and Hilda Trigg, Lloyd grew up in Lodi and served in the Army during WWII. In 1982, Lloyd retired from Ford after 24 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Mansfield VFW, the UAW Local 245 and the Ripley Community Church in Greenwich and he attended services at the North Lake Baptist Church in South Amherst. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bowling and golfing. Lloyd's favorite pastimes were pitching horseshoes and watching horse pulls. Survivors include his daughters, Alice (Robert) Swartz of Wakeman, Phyllis (Paul) Booth of Wellington, Karen (James) Birchfield of Wellington, Sue (Dan) Straight of Phoenix, AZ and Sharon (Dennis) Goodwin of West Virginia; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Lloyd is also survived by 3 siblings, Dorothy Norton of West Salem, Doris Shreffler of Elyria and Richard Trigg of CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (nee Knecht) Trigg; his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Frank Murr; 3 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren and 5 siblings, Lena Albright, Gertrude Boyd, Clarence, Charles and Ralph Trigg. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, April 27 at the North Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 323 N. Lake, South Amherst, OH 44001 with Pastor Carson Fraley officiating. Memorials can be sent to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 47449.
