Lois I. Frye (Sharp), 95, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at EMH. Born March 20, 1914 to Alfred and Ursula (nee Busha) Sharp, Lois was a 1932B graduate of Lorain High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Kent State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
Lois taught elementary school for the Firelands School District and was a member of the NEA and the NEOTA, where she served as secretary for many years. Retiring in 1978, Lois moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she owned McCarthy's News Stand on Las Olas Blvd, with daughter Ronda, until 2006, before moving to Wellington, OH.
Lois is survived by sons, Bob & Karen Frye, Wellington, Dick & Lynn Temple, Henrietta; daughters, Ronda F. Terranova, Wellington, Cheri & Gary Gersak, Elyria, Janice & Bill Atkins, Margate, FL; sister, Fern Buckley, Lessberg, FL; grandchildren, Johnny, Martha, Ardy, Tammy, Julie, Mike, Jeff, Sandy, Whitney, Andrew, Billy; as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Justin K. Frye (1968); son, Chris Frye (1992) and a sister, Edna Connell.
