Lois M. Saponare, age 93, of New London and formerly of Brunswick died peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024 at The Laurels in New London. Born October 5, 1931 in Cuyahoga Heights, she had moved to Brunswick after marrying her beloved husband, Anthony F. Saponare.

Lois and Anthony attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church with their family during their time in Brunswick. She was a hard worker who held a variety of occupations ranging from retail to manufacturing. In her spare time, she would enjoy a good book. Most important to Lois, however, was her family. She cherished the time she spent with those she loved most, especially during holiday gatherings.

Left to cherish Lois's memory are her children, Debra Blackburn of New London, Tony Saponare of Medina, Mike Saponare of Medina, and Jeffery (Karen) Saponare of New London, three grandchildren, Luanna Bloomfield, Amy Clement, and Angie Saponare, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Augusta (Oswald) Green; husband, Anthony F. Saponare; grandson, Michael Flint; and siblings, Albert Green, Ed Green, Ruth Buco, and Hank Green.

Private burial rites will be held at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. The Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
