Norwalk, Ohio - Lois J. Smith, 80, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 in her home. She was born May 3, 1938 in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Richard W. and Eleine (Beatty) Jastatt. Lois graduated from Norwalk High School in 1955. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Lois was a former secretary at the Rotary Printing Company, and Clutch and Friction Company, both of Norwalk, Ohio. She was a member of Eagles Aerie #711 Auxiliary. Lois enjoyed having coffee with the girls at Berry's Restaurant, and going to the Norwalk Eagles Club and socializing with her friends. She mostly enjoyed watching and supporting her son coach basketball at St. Paul School High School for the past 29 years, and attending her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Lois could always be found sitting behind the bench in the Convocation Center with her husband cheering on the Flyers. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Milton C. Smith. Lois is also survived by her son, Michael (Kelly) Smith of Norwalk, Ohio, and by 4 grandchildren, Connor, Elizabeth, Treg, and Danielle. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Norwalk Eagles Club, 151 Cline Street, Norwalk, Ohio from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
