Lora Jean Thomas, 56, of Greenwich died on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. Lora was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Cline and Lois (Newsome) Tackett.

Lora was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Her family was very important to her and she took great pride in caring for them in various ways. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She held a love of cooking and being outdoors alongside her canine companion, Buckeye. Lora enjoyed playing dice with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Lois Tackett of Greenwich; children, Paige Thomas (Quinton Kujawa) of Fairview Heights, IL and Nathan Hammond (Kortney Moore) of Shiloh; grandchildren, Aiden, Kohwen and Emerson Hammond and Maddux Kujawa; siblings, Judith Tackett, Steve Tackett, Tony Tackett and Otis Hoover; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Lora was preceded in death by her dad, Cline Tackett and husband, John Lowery.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W Main Street, Greenwich, where her Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Lang officiating.  Burial at Edwards Grove Cemetery, will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W Main St. Greenwich, OH 44837 or by visiting www.eastmanfuneralhome.com, where online condolences may also be shared with the family.
