Louise Ellen (Plant) Bartow, 88, of Norwalk, Ohio died on December 15, 2020 at Akron General Hospital.  She was born on January 28, 1932 in Norwalk to the late John S. and Gladys I. (Bell) Plant.  Louise was a lifelong area resident.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards and dinner out with friends.  She also liked doing embroidery, baking cookies, watching hummingbirds, and doing puzzles.  But Louise's true passion was people.  Her faith was evident in the way that she so freely, naturally, and humbly gave to and loved on others.  Whether it was the dozens of children she had cared for who will always remember her as "Grandma Bartow", or the countless friends she had made through church, which she prayed for and sent notes to, or the nurses who had cared for her through the years, that she came to love like family.

Louise was a member of West Hartland United Methodist Church and in recent years, had attended The Chapel in Norwalk.

Survivors include her children; Linda (Frank) Eckler of Norwalk, Tom (Debi) Bartow, Rebeccah Tacelosky of Uniontown, Ohio and George Michael (Debbie) Bartow of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, George Bartow Jr.

The family would like to thank the Fisher-Titus Home Health nurses and staff of Norwalk Memorial Home for their loving care where she had spent the last 2 ½ years.
