Louise C. Bohland, 101, of Nova, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Brethren Care Village in Ashland.
She was born on December 26, 1924, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Clinton J. Koons and Edith (Ward) Koons Harris. Louise was a 1942 graduate of Wellington High School. She married Donald L. Bohland on September 15, 1946, and they shared 58 years of marriage until his death in 2005.
Louise lived in Nova most of her life. She worked at the Nova Telephone Company, Faultless Rubber Co., and Forest City Technologies where she retired in 1988.
Louise was a devoted, lifelong member of Nova United Methodist Church, having joined in 1927, and her faith remained an important part of her life.Through her church, she built lifelong relationships and remained connected to her community. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars since 1977. Louise was known for her active, social nature. She especially enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Stephanie Vogel of Ashland, and two grandchildren, Lucas Vogel and Brody Vogel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Donald Bohland; her son, Ronald Bohland; and her sister, Virginia Koons McClelland.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Burial will take place on a later date at Nova Cemetery.
