Louise Russell, 92, of Ashland, died January 29, 2011 at Brethren Care of Ashland. She was born March 7, 1918 in Greenwich, to the late Gilbert and Irene (Searle) McCullough. Louise lived most of her life in the New London area and had resided in Ashland since 1994. She was a 1936 graduate of Greenwich High School and was a secretary for the former C.E. Ward Company for 15 years. Louise was a member of the Ruggles Church, Ruggles Grange for over 50 years and the Ladies Guild. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Norma Russell of Mansfield; grandchildren, Alan Russell, Jeff Russell and Kim Gerhart; great granddaughters, Athena Tallmadge, Hannah Russell and Morgan Gerhart and her sister, Ruth Stevens of South Carolina. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, J. David Russell in 2002; foster son, John Tatera and brother, Dean McCullough. Private graveside service will be held at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
