Obituary

Lowell D. Dunlap, 76, of New London passes away Friday, January 17, 2020 in Norwalk after a lengthy illness.   He was born December 28, 1943 in New London, son of the late Harmon J. and Alfreda (Terwilliger) Dunlap.    Lowell was a 1962 graduate of New London High School.   He married the love of his life, Linda Sue (Beam) Dunlap on August 4, 1973.     Lowell had farmed his entire life.    He had become disabled in 1989.    He had worked at Ohio Body in New London, Midwest Industries in Willard, drove semi-truck for Willie and Joyce Browand, Wellington, which was his first driving job.    He then drove for various other companies, including: Wikel Bulk Express of Huron, F.V. Parker and Sons, Wakeman, Hooker's LP-Gas, Wakeman and many others.

Lowell loved to fly airplanes.   He attended a flight school in Florida after high school and received his Private Pilot's license.   He enjoyed flying out of Ortner Air Service, Wakeman with Dean Ortner and several other pilots in the Wakeman area.    He loved spending time at his cabin in the woods and deer hunting in Ohio and Michigan.  He also enjoyed "Happy Hour" with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister in law, Dale and Barbara Dunlap and nephew, Steve Dunlap.

Lowell's wishes were to be cremated.     There will be no visitation.    Services will be private.    Eastman Funeral Home, New London were entrusted with the arrangements.   Online condolences may be made at:   www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
