Lowell Gray, 86, of Clarksfield, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. He was born August 21, 1924 in Clarksfield, son of the late Lester Earl and Gladys (Collins) Gray. Lowell was a life long resident of Clarksfield. He graduated from New London High School in 1942. Lowell farmed all of his life and was a bricklayer for Union Local #37 of Cleveland. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Lowell enjoyed sharing time with friends over coffee. He is survived by his wife Lois (Sanford) Gray, whom he married December 20, 1944; daughter, Jane Gray of Clarksfield and his faithful dog, Kim; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Austin Gray and Dean Gray. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
