Lowell Thomas Marshall, Sr., 73 of New London, died Wednesday afternoon, at his home. He was born August 22, 1938, in Wayne, West Virginia, to the late Eustace and Iris Marie (Frasher) Marshall. Lowell lived in North Ridgeville and moved to the New London area 10 years ago.
He was employed at Ford Motor Company in Brookpark for 41 years as a payload operator. Lowell served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32 degree Mason.
Lowell enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and was usually outside from daylight to dark. In his younger years he was into motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson's.
Survived by his wife of 7 years, Thelma (Goode); children, Kay (Rick) Stanley, Diane (Larry) Walls, Linda (Fred) Miller, Roger (Loraine) Marshall; Denise (James) Groves; stepdaughter, Candice Duke; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Bill, Paul, Jimmy and Don Marshall and sisters, Freida McCoy, Anne Alexander, Linda Paisley and Brenda Dunn. He was preceded in death by his son, Lowell Marshall, Jr. and siblings, Patty Frye and Maxine Marshall.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, August 17th at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London where a service will be held at 11 am on Saturday with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Fields Cemetery in North Ridgeville. Memorial contributions in Lowell's name may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
