Lowell 'Bus' Westbrook, 92, of San Marcos, Texas and formerly of Greenwich, died Sunday, November 23, at home.
He was born April 15, 1916 in Prince Edward County, Virginia, son of the late Cline E. and Cleo (Dennis) Westbrook. He moved to Greenwich in 1922. Bus graduated from Greenwich High School in 1934. He had worked for Norwalk Plumbing and Heating , the former Sanitall in Greenwich, for the railroad , Akron Standard Mold, and Plymouth Locomotive, retiring in the early 1980's.
He was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church, the Norwalk Eagles Arie 711. He was the first Eagle Scout in Greenwich and was a Troop leader for 25 years.
Survived by 2 daughters, Lana (Carl) Hacker of Greenwich, Bonnie (Roy) Farmer of San Marcos, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 10great-grandchildren;
sisters, Betty Chandler of Norwalk, Julia (Lee) Blair of Greenwich; brother, Robert (Eilene) Westbrook of Washington; daughter-in-law, Janice Westbrook of Ashland; He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Westbrook, his son, Danny Westbrook, 2 grandsons, Terry Hacker, and Brad Stanfield, sisters, Imogene and Lucille Westbrook, Harriet Clevenger/Hutchinson, Ruth Hartley, Brittanna Jacobs, his brothers, Max and Jack Westbrook.
Friends may call from from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, November 28, at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich . Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 East Main St., with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating. Burial at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
