Obituary

Lucille A. Vickery, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio died on Thursday morning, April 22, 2021 at the Willows of Willard.  She was born on March 11, 1938 in Waterville, Maine to the late George and Alexina (Cabana) Dutil.

"Lucy" to some, "Cille" to others, Lucille answered with a smile to any of her nicknames, but she truly cherished the role of "Grandma" and "Mimi".  She loved attending her grandchildren's extra-curricular activities and spending time with her family in general.  She enjoyed their family gatherings and also traveling to Florida with her late husband, Wilbur as well as trips to the East Coast.

Lucille had worked for the former ACMI plant in Norwalk and retired from there after many years of service.  She was a member of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church in Norwalk, where her funeral mass will be held.

Survivors include her children, Wilbur (Charlie) Vickery of Columbus, Ohio and Danielle (Mike) Phillips of Norwalk, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon Vickery, Vern Vickery Jr., Justin Phillips, Lindsey Rhoad and Kelsey Biglin; great grandchildren, Masen, Arian, Milo, Lucy, Delilah, Silas, Lily, Emersyn and McKenzie; sister in-law, Frances (Carl) DeMars; brother in-law, John Beaulieu and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Vickery Sr., in 2015, son, Vernard Vickery Sr., siblings, George, Robert, Leona, Juliette, Anita and Carmen.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W. League St., Norwalk, Ohio 44857, with inurnment to follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitors are required to bring and wear a mask during the mass and are encouraged to follow all social distancing and mass gathering guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106 or Norwalk Catholic School, Attn: Advancement & Admissions, 93 E.
