Obituary

Luie A. Willey, age 68, of Greenwich, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk after a sudden illness. He was born May 6, 1941 in Union City, PA., son of the late Woodrow and Hazel (Whiteley) Willey. He was a 1960 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School, PA. Luie had served in the U.S. Army from 1960 until 1963. He had lived in Greenwich since 1973. Luie had worked at Brooker Brothers in Norwalk from 1980 until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Adario United Methodist Church where he was active in church activities. He is survived by his wife, Clara (Nebergall) Willey, whom he married June 1, 1974; his son and daughter in law, Marvin Lee and Noelle Willey of West Carrolton, Ohio; sisters, Lucille Deuschle of Ravenna, Ohio and Velma Free of Tuscon, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilson and Lawrence Willey, his sister, Marion Krueger. Friends may call from 2 ' 4 and 6 ' 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 at the Adario United Methodist Church, 1790 Adario East Rd., Shiloh, Ohio 44878 with Rev. Janet Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at the Adario Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Adario United Methodist Church.
