Lula Belle Clark, 81, of Wellington, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 22, 2015.
She was born on October 14, 1934 in Harold, Kentucky, to Worlie and Lizzie Kidd.
Lula lived in the New London and Wellington area for most of her life and worked at Forrest City, as well as for many hospitals and nursing homes in the housekeeping department. She was currently working for Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. Lula enjoyed her many friends in the surrounding communities.
Lula liked working, puzzles, plants, and games, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She listened to Gospel and country music. Lula loved reading the newspaper and she collected dolls and Elvis and George Jones memorabilia.
Survivors include her son, Douglas Clark; grandsons, John Clark and Kyle (Melanie) Clark; great grandchildren, Tyler and Alyssa; sisters, Malta aka "Rea" Case, Ollie Collins, Maxie Kidd, Wanda Spears, Loretta Spears; brothers, Henry and Glen R. Kidd. In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her husband, John B. in 1983; siblings, Miles Kidd, Mary Boyd, Franklin "Bud" Kidd, Audrey Kidd, Tommy Kidd and Donnie R. Kidd.
Relatives and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington where a service will be held at 1 pm Monday. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
