Mae Belle Greenwald

Mae Belle Greenwald, 91, of Wellington, passed away on August 21, 2026, at home under hospice care with her family by her side. Mae was born on April 7, 1935, in Kirksville, Missouri to the late Henry and Leona (Newcomer) Scott.

For many years, Mae operated as the vendor Belle’s Toys at Jamie’s Flea Market. She enjoyed creating handmade crafts, goose clothes, Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, and sock monkeys to sell.

She leaves behind her loving children, Sue (Enver) Berg, Patty Cole, Carol Porter, Deb (David) George, Billy Erick, and Chris (Brian) Starbuck; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and her brother, Henry Scott.

Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, David Greenwald; her second husband, Bill Erick; her third husband, Denny Barth; son, David Greenwald; grandson, Anthony Erick; and siblings, Gracie Scott, Dean Pierson, Carl Scott and Jimmy Scott.
