Malcolm 'Jerry' Parsons, Jr., 73, of New London, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Norwalk Memorial Home in Norwalk. He was born April 26, 1938 in Honaker, Kentucky to the late Malcolm Parsons and Ethel Morrison. He attended the Church of Christ. Malcolm enjoyed fishing, gardening, family reunions, NASCAR and his greatest joy was being with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; children, David (Kari) Parsons of Dublin, Shanna (Sam) Reed of Dayton, Daniel (Debbie) Parsons of Dayton, Shelley (Charles) Craig of Liberty, SC, Sherry (Rex) Shelton of Dayton, Dennis (Pamela) Parsons of Wellington, Lisa (Jeff) Fries of Norwalk, Ryan (Crystal) Osterland of New London and Lindsay (Shawn) Clouse of Wakeman; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dean Mishlan; brothers, Arthur and Philip Parsons and granddaughter, Ashley Dennis. Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Memorial donations may be given to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home.
