Margaret Joyce (nee Betts) Pearce of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away December 22, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio.  She was the wife of Malcolm Pearce, daughter, of Richard John Edward & Mary Margaret (nee Craggs) Betts.  Joyce was born in Hebrern, North Umberland England, March 20, 1941 and was raised in Chatham, Kent England.

While working at Reeds Paper Sacks as a Bonus Accountant, she met Malcolm and they were married December 23, 1961.  They came to United States in 1965 and were employed as a cook and housekeeper for the J. Raymond Gerken family.  She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church and served for many years as Chairman of the E.C.W.  Joyce was also a member of the Preceptor Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and Europe, and also visiting family in England.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Malcolm Pearce; sister, Julia Gibson; brother in-law, Adrian Pearce; nephews, Steven Gibson and Jeramy Pearce; nieces, Clara Gibson, Elizabeth Welfare, Deborah and Cheryl Pearce; and Goddaughter Captain Kayla Georgiafandis.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., concluding with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m.  Memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul Episcopal Church, Norwalk, 87 W.
