Obituary

Margaret Ann Carter, 69, of Sullivan, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Mercy Regional Hospital in Lorain. Born on May 15, 1942, Margaret was born and raised in Lakewood and graduated from Lakewood Magnificat. She volunteered at the Black River schools and at the Herrick Memorial Library. Margaret was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington and she supported children through St. Jude's. Survivors include her husband William; children, Shawn Carter, of North Olmsted, Shane (Kristin) Carter, of Terre Haute, IN, Kerry (Tom) McMahon, of Nova, Megan Carter, of Sullivan, Morgan Carter, of Plain City, Stacy (Brian) Herring, of Boca Raton, FL, and Casey Carter, of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Autumn (Anthonie) Williams, John McMahon, Shelby Collett, David Carter, Molly Herring, and Ellie Herring and siblings, Kathy Purcell, of Wellington, and Pat Stover, of FL. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Kelly and siblings, Caroline, Bill and Betty Lou and parents Ruth and Jack Werner. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday April 12 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main, Wellington, with Father James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan South View Cemetery, Sullivan.
