Margaret L. “Peg” Pennell, 88 of Plymouth, OH died on Monday, April 6, 2026, at The Willows at Willard. Peg was born on June 24, 1937, in Plymouth, OH, the daughter of the late Aden and Katheryn (Young) Lofland. Peg lived her entire life in the Plymouth area and was a 1955 graduate of Shiloh High School.
Peg held a variety of positions with various companies in the area including Isley’s, Red and White Grocery both of Shelby, Delphi Market, Pioneer and Donnelley’s of Willard. She spent much time working on the family farm. When Peg wasn’t working, she could be found teaching Sunday school at Delphi Methodist Church, where she was member. She also taught quilting classes, and enjoyed crafting, crocheting and making scrubbies. She sang in the choir at the Shiloh Methodist Church. Peg liked to square dance and listen to country music. Always on the move, she also enjoyed taking a ride with her beloved pets.
On March 10, 1956, Peg married Charles Richard Pennell at the Plymouth Methodist Church. Together they shared 63 years of marriage before his passing on March 18, 2019.
Peg is survived by her son, Richard Dean Pennell; grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Bowmar, Annie Pennell, Joseph Dean Pennell, Mindy (Zach) Tuttle and Randi Dorain; 4 great-grandchildren and sister, Marietta Pickett.
In addition to her parents and husband, Charles, Peg was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Eshelman; granddaughter, Jessica Pennell; and brother, John Lofland.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 1 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, OH 44837. Burial will follow at the Edwards Grove Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family by visiting, www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
