Marian Mae Rollin Bigelow, 80, of Wellington, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at EMH in Elyria. Born January 4, 1931 in Wellington to the late Glen and Treva (nee Jackson) Rollin, Marian grew up in Huntington and was a lifetime resident of Lorain County. She graduated with the Sullivan High School class of 1949 and was the class Salutatorian.
Marian worked at C.E. Ward Company in New London for many years as a secretary. She attended the United Church of Huntington and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Her other interests included homemaking, camping and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver Bigelow; children, Nancy (Wayne) Reisinger, of Elyria, Janice (Sam) Clark, of Wellington, and Daniel Bigelow, of Wylie, TX; grandchildren, Christina Reisinger, of Michigan, Steven (Katie) Reisinger, of Elyria, Daniel (Allison) Bigelow, of Ashland, Jennifer Clark and Mindy Clark, both of Elyria; great grandchildren, Tyler Reisinger, Caleb Henry, Kyle Reisinger, all of Elyria, and Mason Bigelow, of Ashland. Marian is also survived by her siblings, Burt (Mildred) Rollin, Edith (Walter) Brownson, and Virginia Kish; sister-in-laws, Frances and Sarah Rollin. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brothers, John 'Jack' and Jim Rollin and brother-in-law, Ralph Kish.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58, with Rev. Stephen Carmany, Howard Quast and Donald Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow at Huntington Cemetery.
