Marian M. Helton, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2015. She was 94 years of age. Marian was born to George and Golda (nee Carpenter) Collingwood on July 31, 1921. Her family resided in Fitchville. Marian was a cook for New London Local Schools. She attended Fitchville United Methodist Church. Marian moved to Norwalk in 1985. Marian loved playing games and cards, especially Wheel of Fortune and Yahtzee. Marian leaves behind her children, Joyce Baker of Columbus, Jim (Linda) Helton of Ashland and Steve Helton of Norwalk; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Jackson; son-in-law Kenny Baker; daughter-in-law Sheilia Helton; grandson, Mark Jackson; great-great granddaughter, Willow Grace Jackson and sisters, Faye Gerlach, Verna O'Neil and Rene VonKamp. Marian's family will greet friends from 1 pm Monday, August 31, 2015 until the 2pm service at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main, New London. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
