Marie A. Heighland, 77, of Wellington died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. Marie was born in Wellington on June 1, 1934 to the late Scott and Grace (nee Hawkins) Bradley. She spent most of her life in Wellington and attended Wellington High School. Marie worked as a secretary of the United Church of Huntington for several years and sold Avon products as well. She was a member of the United Church of Huntington and the Wellington Grange. Marie enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She also liked to gamble but most of all Marie enjoyed her family. Marie is survived by her sons, Robert (Sandy) Heighland of Sherwood, Lamont (Darlene) Heighland of Sullivan, and William (Pam) Heighland of Eaton Rapids MI; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Robert. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 4, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington, where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m.,Rev.
