Marie McClurg, 81, of Wellington, died Friday, September 23, 2011. Born on November 3, 1929 in Huntington, Marie was a daughter of the late John and Anna (nee Morrone) Youngless. She worked at Smithhaven for 16 years. She was also employed at various nursing homes, restaurants and factories in the area. Marie enjoyed cooking and never missed an opportunity to visit with friends over a home cooked meal, she loved people and her home was always welcome. She also liked reading. She will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her. Survivors include her children, Sue (Dale) Braden of Ashland, Clarence 'Bud' McClurg of Nova, Dawn (Ron) McClurg-Fulk of Nova, Roy McClurg of Wellington, Linda (Joe) Becker of Grafton and Brenda McClurg of Nova; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren 1 great great granddaughter and a sister, Mary Behner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence after 50 years of marriage, and an infant daughter Michelle Lee in 1974. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 28 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
