Marie Eleanor Morgan, 84, of Wellington, died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. A daughter of the late Francis Harvey and Wilhemina Marie (nee Scott) Lewis, Marie was born in Elyria on March 20, 1927. She graduated with the Camden High School Class of 1945. The first non-family member employed by Green Circle Growers, Marie worked there for 20 years. Marie enjoyed playing cards and games with her family, dancing to polka music and crafting. Family was paramount in Marie's life and she was the greatest fan at their events. She enjoyed visiting relatives in the South and family vacations at Hilton Head. Marie always made Christmas such a special time for her family and she quilted with love a quilt for every grandchild. Marie was a member of the Women's Fellowship, 4-H, the PTA, Farm Women's Club, and the Firelands Booster Club. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School at Kipton Community Church for many years. She will be remembered for as a good listener who continuously focused on the needs of her family. Marie was the first to show up with a casserole and her sleeves rolled up to help those in need. She seemed to specialize in making fun out of nothing and always had time for tea parties with her grandkids and making butter cookies frosted in amazing detail. Survivors include her devoted husband of 62 and a half years, Elmer; loving children, Carol (Jim) Smerz, of Dayton, Chuck (Judy) Morgan, of Vermilion, Brenda (Steve) Rippeth, of New Philiadelphia, Beth (Mark) Olsen, of Lake Oswego, OR, Roberta Cadieux, of Buffalo Grove, IL; 11 grandchildren, Jenny (Chad) Itnyre, Katie (Jim) Coates, Bryan (Kara) Morgan, Scott Rippeth, Kimberly Rippeth, Kelly Rippeth, Jimmy Rippeth, Mike Olen, Tom Olen, and Brad and David Cadieux and 3 great grandchildren. Marie is also survived by siblings, Loretta DuBois, of GA, and Fred and Donald Lewis, both of OH. Marie was preceded in death by sister, Jeanette Kolb and brothers, Francis, Robert and James Lewis.
