Marigrace McConnell, age 87, of New London, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at home after a lingering illness. She was born May 29, 1920 in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert and Esther E. (Schoenherr) Jackson. Marigrace had lived in New London most of her life, and for the past 5 years had made her home with her grandson, Steve and his wife, Laura and their 3 children. Marigrace was a 1938 graduate of New London High School. Marigrace was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, New London. She is survived by a son, Dennis (Betty) McConnell of New London; 3 daughters, Sally Roeder of New London, Mary (John) Burk and Sharon Gray both of Mansfield; 8 grandchildren, Chris McConnell, Steve Roeder, Eric Roeder, Anne Roeder, Adam Burk, Allison Burk, Liesl Emrikian and Anissa Gray; and 8 great grandchildren; and her brother, Dale Jackson of New London. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. McConnell, her sister, Dolores Ropp, her brothers, Wayne and Dean Jackson. Friends may call Monday, March 3, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Visitation will also be at the funeral home Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until the 1:45 p.m. Prayer Service. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London with Rev. Doug Taylor officiating.
