Marilyn J. (Hopkins) Farnsworth, age 74, of Willard and formerly of New London, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Willard Health Care Center after a short illness. She was born June 29, 1934 in Norwalk, daughter of the late John and Alice (McEnroe) Huber. Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Monroeville High School. She had worked at Ballonoff formerly of New London and later owned and operated Bob's Village Restaurant in New London where she had lived for many years. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Robin) Hopkins, William Hopkins, Mark Hopkins and Patrick Hopkins all of New London; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cheryl Jean Hopkins in 1956. A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at the North Fairfield Cemetery on Ridge Road.
