Marilyn A. Kaye, 77, residing in Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Norwalk Memorial Home after a brief stay.

Marilyn was born on July 5, 1944, in Elmira, NY to the late Gordon and Aldean (Heebner) Mills.

Marilyn graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in Elmira, NY and graduated from Corning Community College as a Registered Nurse. She moved her family to Ohio in 1970, where she raised her two children and a grandchild in Collins. Marilyn was a part-time Registered Nurse for area hospitals and nursing homes before working full time for the Ohio Veterans Home for 15 years. Marilyn took great pride in serving the veterans that lived there. In her spare time, Marilyn was an avid reader. She also enjoyed socializing at the Norwalk Senior Center, collecting carousel horses, painting, embroidery, swimming, and various summer activities with her family. Marilyn also loved the many dogs that she had in her life.

Marilyn is survived by her brother Duane "Skip" (Barb) Mills of New York; daughter Bonnie (Bernie) Collins of Norwalk; 4 grandchildren Daryl E. (Dotson) Kurth, Logan, Allison, and Colten Collins, great-granddaughter, Sagan Kurth, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Kaye.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH, 44857. A private graveside service will be held at Collins Cemetery.
