Marilyn Ida (Reep) DeLapp, 81, died on August 30, 2024. Born April 8, 1943 at home in Clarksfield Township, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Howard Thomas and Ethel Jane (Cabac) Reep. Marilyn graduated in 1961 from Wellington High School. She worked at C.E. Ward and then Norwalk Furniture for 22 ½ years.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time outside, tending to her lawn which was always immaculate, and working in her large garden. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and the way she honored and celebrated family events. Marilyn loved to host parties, especially her annual Christmas party.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Osborn, of North Fairfield and Barbara Reagan, of Norwalk; many nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ira, in 2022; sister, Carol (Joseph) Cucco; Infant nephew, Howard Joseph Cucco; brothers, Roy Reep and Howard Franklin (Jean) Reep; and brothers-in-law, Hooper Reagan, Roger Osborn, Harry (Barbara) DeLapp and Morey (Nancy) DeLapp.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, from 12 p.m until the 2p.m funeral service at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk.
