Marilyn J Hobson, 78, of Ashland, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning December 1, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born in New London, Ohio on April 27, 1943, to the late Jane (Smallsreed) and Isaac "George" Ux.

Marilyn graduated from New London High school class of 1961.  For many years she owned and operated Roe Mar Embroidery, and later earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Ehove and spent her career caring for the elderly.

Marilyn retired in 2010 and became a volunteer for North Central Hospice and was very active with their Vigil program. She was also a board member and volunteer with the Ashland County Council on Aging and the S.A.L.T. program.

Marilyn enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life; she was an avid bowler, she loved crocheting, sewing, playing the piano, jigsaw puzzles, watching football and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Stanton) Winbigler of Ashland, Nancy (Kelly) Godfrey of New London and Joseph (Amber) Novosielski of New London; 12 grandchildren, Michael Shepherd, Matthew Shepherd, Sara Godfrey, Ashley Novosielski, Jon Godfrey, Samantha Novosielski, Adam Williams, Amy (Abe) Parker, Maggie (Aaron) Richey, Isaac (Paige) Price, Tarah (Nick) Hoffman, Eric Winbigler, 23 great-grandchildren; and her Brother John (Cathy) Ux, and Cousin Carol Houser.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her Husband, Ed Hobson and Grandson, Jeremy Godfrey.
