Marion Ann Mills

Marion Ann Mills, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the age of 99. Marion was born in Toronto, Canada on June 3, 1927. During her second grade year, she moved to Wellington and graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1946. She then attended Kent State University.

Marion was a faithful member of the Wellington First United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and could often be found cooking in the kitchen for various events. Always active in the Wellington community, Marion was a member of the band boosters, served as a volunteer bus driver and dispatcher for the Wellington Senior Bus. She always tried to find a way to pitch in.

Her family was everything to her and she treasured her time with them. She loved watching her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids play sports throughout the years and was always their biggest cheerleader. She loved to babysit the grandkids any chance she got.

Marion enjoyed playing bridge and being a member of a bridge club. She also liked being outside and reading.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Kenneth) Zacharias, of Medina and Tom (Mary Jo) Mills, of Wellington; grandchildren, Bryan (Shannon) Zacharias, Jeff (Kerri) Zacharias, Trisha (Brett) Kehl; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Mills; great grandchildren, Maxwell, Reagan, Zach, Alexandria, Luke, and Cody. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Paul; grandson, Troy Mills, and siblings, Robert Walker and mother and stepfather, Elva and Elmer Pettit.

A graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery will be held on Monday, September 28 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hyeran Yu officiating.
