Marjorie Tripp, of Amherst, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 13, 2018, five days short of her 93rd birthday. She was born on December 18, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Ethel (nee Chadwick) and Ira William Lee. She was a graduate of Brighton High School.
Marjorie had worked at the C.E. Ward Company in New London and then worked as a bank teller in New London and Norwalk. She was a very active member of the Rochester Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was later a member of the Wellington First Baptist Church. Marjorie played piano for both churches. She was involved with choir groups, taught piano lessons, and was a very talented musician. She also enjoyed hosting missionaries in her home. Marjorie loved to share her many gifts with others and her love for God.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Donna) Tripp, of Indiana, Diana (Chris) Sloan, of Lorain, Warren (Helen) Tripp, of Litchfield, and Gene Tripp, of Wellington; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Harrison Tripp and sister, Ellen Kyle.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9:30 until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. at the Wellington First Baptist Church, 125 Grand Ave, Wellington. Rev.
