Mark Edward Mattila, 55, of Eastlake, died Monday, April 3, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born in Fairview on December 21, 1967, to the late Leo O. and Beverly E. (nee Maison) Mattila, Mark lived the majority of his life in Brookpark.

He loved his family and his dog, Cooper. He also loved all sports, especially college football, and the OSU Buckeyes were his favorite team. He also liked NASCAR and golf. Mark enjoyed cooking, fast cars, and liked to watch TV.

Survivors include his two children, Mariah Paige Mattila, of Elyria, and Dillon Davis Mattila, of North Ridgeville; grandson, Braylan; siblings, Sandy Howlett, Karen Stephens and Marty Mattila; and former wife and friend, Shana Bohr. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Mattila.
