Mark Lee Miller, 74, of Wellington, died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at his home surrounded by family. Born on November 24, 1942 in Peru IN, he was the son of the late Orville and Eleanor (nee Speer) Miller. Mark grew up in Springfield, OH and after graduation attended The Ohio State University receiving a bachelor's degree in metallurgy.
Following graduation Mark took a job with US Steel working as a superintendant and retired after 35 years. He then began working at Murray Ridge in Elyria the past 12 years. Mark loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hiking and would regularly hike the Grand Canyon. He also enjoyed fishing especially perch fishing on Lake Erie. Mark cared deeply about animals; he raised and enjoyed cichlid's, keeping many aquariums in his home.
Survivors include his children, Jeffrey (Andrea) Miller, of Lorain, Amy (James) Adkins, of Fayetteville, NC, and Timothy (Annica) Miller, of Baltimore, MD; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers Chris, Alan, Steve, Rick, and Mike.
