Mark O. Paulin, Sr., 75, of Nova, died on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born August 3, 1949, in Raleigh, NC to the late Marguerite "Margie" (Pesta) and Frank Henry Paulin, Jr. Mark, during his high school years attended Borromeo Seminary for 3 years, held an engineering degree from Cleveland State University and in his 60's, he received his Master's degree from University of Idaho engineering outreach program. He was an instrument electrical engineer where he owned and operated The Paulin Company. Mr. Paulin was very strong in his Faith and was a lifelong practicing Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus. Every day at 3 PM he would pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, farming; including raising hogs and was a breeder and producer of the American Dexter Cattle Association. Mark could fix anything, enjoyed home renovation and was a very devoted family man.
Mr. Paulin was married July 26, 1975, to Victoria (Johnson) Paulin who survives. He is also survived by his 7 sons, Christopher J. Paulin of Akron, Michael C. (Hannah) Paulin of Akron, Joseph V. Paulin of Wooster, Anthony P. (Ericka) Paulin of Cincinnati, Mark Jr. O. (Cortney) Paulin of Jeromesville, Dominic F. (Tori) Paulin of Greenwich and John-Murphy F. (Becca) Paulin of Nova; 11 grandchildren, Tom, Bella, James, Ellie, Oliver, Andrew, Malcolm, Esther Mae, Abby, Margaret and Robert; siblings, David (Karen) Paulin of Carrollton, Phil (Andrea) Paulin of Sagamore Hills, Rosemary Paulin of Youngstown, and Vince (Patti) Paulin of Austin, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave, New London, OH. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prolife Across America Billboards, Little Sisters of the Poor, and Couple to Couple League through the funeral home.
