Mark E. Sumption, 67, a Wellington resident, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Hospice of Medina County (HMC) in Medina. On June 7, 1955, Mark was born in Mansfield to the late Dale E. Sumption and Marguerite (Hatfield) Stringfellow in Mansfield.

Mark spent his beginning years in Mansfield before moving to Wellington. He attended Lorain County JVS and graduated from Wellington Senior High School in 1973.

Mark is survived by his partner Michael Davis of Wellington; his mother Marguerite Stringfellow of Amherst; his sister Sharon (Kevin) Steele of Statesville, NC; his sister Mendie (Rich) Smith of Amherst; and his brother Ty (Kate) Stringfellow of Perrysburg.

He was preceded in death by his father Dale E. Sumption, and stepfather Clyde Stringfellow.

Per Mark's wishes there will be no services. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
