Marlene Timbs, 80, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022. A daughter of Frank and Della (nee Cole) Bailey, Marlene grew up in Wakeman and was a 1959 graduate of Western Reserve High School. In July of 1959, she married Neale, the love of her life, and together they raised a family.

She retired from Green Circle Growers and also worked in the cafeteria at Western Reserve Schools for many years. Marlene was a member of the Wakeman Congregational Church.

Marlene found great enjoyment in gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed doing puzzles. A true lover of cats, Marlene always had time for her pets, especially Snuggles and Susie.

She is survived by her children, David (Sherry) Timbs, of Vermillion, and Vickie (Jack) Burgess, of Lincolnton, NC; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with 2 more great grandchildren on the way; and brothers, Don (Sue) Bailey and Larry (Glenna) Bailey. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Neale, in 2019; infant son, Mark Ralph; and sister, Rosie.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 15 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London from 11:00 a.m. until noon. A graveside service will follow at Wakeman Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857.
