Obituary

Martha Jane (Casanova) Jennings, 78, of New London, OH and Venice, FL, died October 7, 2008 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, OH after an extended illness. She was born in Frank, OH on January 19, 1930, and was a 1948 graduate of Huron High School. She was a naturally keen businesswoman who successfully managed a large and prosperous farm. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Royce and friends and family and entertaining both in Ohio and Florida. She loved to return to her beautiful farm outside New London, which was the center for many family gatherings where her meals and pies were loved by all. She is survived by her husband Royce; her children: Mary Jane (John) Hickey, Glen Eric (Adriana) Jennings, Linda Mary (Joel) Johnson, Nancy Elaine (William) Jantsch, Paul David Jennings, Carl Robert (Katherine) Jennings, and Catherine Ruth Jennings; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sisters: Irma (Robert) Martin, and Eunice (Robert) Ries; her brothers: Robert Casanova, Donald Casanova, and Charles Casanova. She was preceded in death by her parents Aloysius and Amelia (Raufeisen) Casanova, her brother Aloysius (Bud) Casanova, and her sisters Elarose Schettine and Annamae Cullin. Friends may call Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 at the Eastman Funeral Home in New London. Rosary at 6:30 PM Thursday prior to visitation. Reverend Cathy Ake of the New London United Methodist Church will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grove Street Cemetery and followed by lunch at the Methodist Church in New London.
