Martha Elizabeth Lattimer, dearly loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, age 87, of Wellington died Friday, September 12, 2008 at Elyria Memorial Hospital. She was born in Thomas, WV on May 18, 1921 to the late Harry and Julia McGettigan. Martha worked as a nurse's aid at Weber Health Care in Wellington for over 20 years and later retired from the Wesleyan Village in Elyria. She was a member of the Lincoln Street Chapel in Wellington and the Jolly Sixties in Elyria. Martha loved reading her Bible and listening to religious music. She also enjoyed being with her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Darrell Allan (June) Davis of Astoria, Oregon, Nancy Jean Werdebaugh of Wellington and Patricia Ann (George) Elkin of Wellington; 13 Grandchildren ; 27 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren. Martha is also survived by 2 brothers, William Frances McGettigan of Wellington and James Earl McGettigan of Westover, WV and a sister, Anna Louise Hickle of Wellington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lattimer; a son, Robert Delano Davis; a great grandaughter, Lauren Hendrix, and two siblings, Olive Beatrice Carr and Harry Delano McGettigan. Friends and family will be received from 2 -4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 14 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lincoln Street Chapel, 139 Lincoln Street, Wellington, with Pastor Steve Marchand and Rev. William Bess officiating.
