Obituary

Marvin T. Randleman, 60, life long resident of New London, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a long term illness. He was born on September 26, 1950 in New London to the late Theodore C. and Gloria L. (Haynes) Randleman. He was a 1968 graduate of New London High School and received an Associates degree in Chemical Engineering. Marvin worked for Ashland Chemical from 1974 until his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, gardening, cooking and fishing. Marvin proudly served in the United States Army from 1969-1973 and was a member of the New London Legion and V.F.W. Survivors include his companion, Kathy Gray of New London; siblings, Valarie L. Randleman of Rochester, Kevin (Cheryl) Randleman of New London and Linda Ruffin of Toledo and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, James Ruffin. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Valarie L. Randleman officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery with military rites. Memorials if desired may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 20470 Lorain Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
