Mary A. Beko, age 61, of Wellington, died Saturday, February 20 2010 at EMH Hospital, Elyria after an unexpected illness. She was born May 21, 1948 in Amherst, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Erika (nee Schwartz) Sauer. Mary was a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst. She had lived in Wellington for 35 years. Mary was a homemaker. She loved to work in her yard landscaping and enjoyed making crafts, but was known for her crocheted, intricate Barbie dresses. Mary was a member of the Wellington American Legion Auxiliary Post 8. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gerald L. Beko; her children, Denise (Michael) Pennington of Wakeman and Gary (Jean) Beko of Kent, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Erika Pennington and Cheyenne and Payton Beko; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. There will be no services. Memorials if desired may be given to the donors favorite charity. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, Wellington assisted the family with arrangements.
