Mary Grace Cruey, age 63, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at her home after a brief illness. Born August 13, 1945 in Sandusky to the late Ralph Williams and Charlotte Jeanette (nee Mosher) Gahring, she resided in the North Fairfield and Greenwich area all her life. Mary graduated from South Central High School with the class of 1963. She was a homemaker. Survivors include husband, Benny Joe Cruey, Sr., children, Charlotte Ann (Tom) Shepherd Armstrong, Emmett, ID, Christopher Alan (Karrie) Shepherd, Willard, Benny Joe (Alexandria) Cruey Jr., Norwalk; grandchildren, Joshua, Katrina, Elias, Cherish, Chase, and Cody Armstrong, Emmett, ID, Emily and Owen Shepherd, Willard, Jackson Cruey, Norwalk; siblings, James (Jerilyn) Gahring, Mansfield, Janet (Doug) Capelle, North Fairfield, Timothy (Angela) Gahring; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her sisters Nancy Zeiter and Suzanne King, nephew Andrew Zeiter. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, friends may also call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13th at the United Methodist Church of North Fairfield, 105 West Main St., North Fairfield.
