Mary Ellen (Betty) Davis, 93 of Ocala, Florida passed away on August 20th at her home following a nine month illness. Born to Alma and Vance Myers of Milan, Ohio on June 23, 1925. She lived many years on their family farm in Hartland Township before moving to Norwalk, Ohio. Then residing with her daughter and son-in-law in Huron, Ohio then on to Ocala, Florida. She enjoyed camping and canoeing with her family and friends. Her love of bingo and cards games gave her many happy memories. Being a talented baker found her making beautiful wedding and special occasion cakes. Betty was a life-long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Norwalk Eagles, the V.F.W. and was an avid booster of Western Reserve schools. She retired from the Western Reserve School system as a cook at Hartland School. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert (Bob) Davis, Sr., and three sons; Everet, Richard, and Robert Jr. Also preceding her were two brothers; Richard and Donald and a sister Violet. Surviving her are two daughters, Marilyn (Mike) Heffelfinger of Edon, Ohio, and Sandra (Richard) O'Dell of Ocala, Florida, and one sister, Annabell Tanner of Norwalk, Ohio. Also surviving her are three grandsons; James (Diana) Weber of Roseboro, NC. Robert (Kris) Weber of Wakeman, Ohio, and Joseph (Sandy) Todd of Avon Lake, Ohio, five great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend to many; she will be greatly missed. Friends may call on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Pastor Ann Marshall will officiate. There will be a brief committal service Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Milan Cemetery.
