Eastman Funeral Home 419-929-3781 Mary E. Fenner, 86, of Collins, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2018 at home. She was born on May 24, 1932 in Shelbyville, KY to the late Lorain and Charles Anna (nee Davis) Harmon. From her early days on her parents farm Mary learned the value of hard work. She carried that through her entire life working various jobs from a shoe factory in Cincinnati, to a typist for the former Cincinnati Bell, and then later as she worked the majority of her career for Fannie Farmer after being with them for over 20 years. Mary graduated high school from Lynchburg High School. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and had played softball with her late husband George "Bobby Jo" Fenner in their younger days. She loved animals and helped her son Mike breed and raise horses and take care of their cats. Mary is survived by her son Mike Fenner of Collins and siblings, Janie Thornsberry and Robert Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfathers, Columbus Johnson and William Thomas Fogle; stepbrother William Fogle and four stillborn children. Mary's family will greet friends from 11 am until the time of the noon service on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. Mary's wishes were to be cremated and burial will take place at a later date in Troutwine Cemetery in Lynchburg, Ohio.
