Mary J. King, 87, of Greenwich died Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Sandusky. She was born July 29, 1930 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, daughter of the late Leroy and Eleanor (nee Shrader) Carey. She had resided in Greenwich since 1948.
Mary served as the utility clerk for the Village of Greenwich for many years and retired in 2001.
Mary loved her family. Her great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She never missed a NASCAR race and was a big Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan.
Survived by her sons, Mike (Bev) King of Greenwich and Pat (Marilyn) King of Kenly, North Carolina; grandchildren, Brooke King Jones, Abbie King, Scott A. King, Carey L. King and Jamie D. King; great-grandchildren, Delilah Jones and Dax King-Jones and siblings, Mike Carey, Peg (Cliff) Byers and Charles (Sandy) Carey.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dave King and brother, Tom Carey.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 28th at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
