Mary Jane Enderby Mahl, 89, of New London, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Firelands in New London. She was born June 2, 1923, in Bellefontaine, daughter of the late Henry E. and Edith (Sanders) Neel.
Mary graduated in 1942 from New London High School. She worked at the former Trojan Power Co. in Sandusky and was a secretary for Firelands Electric Coop. for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, New London Golden Agers, New London American Legion Auxiliary, New London United Methodist Church and the New London Historical Society.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Mahl; sons, Joseph (Debbi) Enderby of Perrysville and William Enderby of Perrysville; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and brothers, Doyle Neel and Vaughn (Lois) Neel both of New London.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Enderby; sisters, Thelma Potter, Orile Fackler Selzer and Betty Wheaton and brother, Graydon Neel.
Visitation from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 10 and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Rev. Ben Black officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or donor's favorite charity.
