Mary Ann Bates, age 91, of New London, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Laurels of New London. Born June 18, 1932, in East Liverpool, to the late Michael and Pearl Pisarsky, she had been a New London Resident for the majority of her life.

Mary enjoyed gardening and cooking, but was happiest when surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy and she cherished the time she spent playing with them.

Left to cherish her memory are Mary's children, Elisha (Randy) Blake of New London, Sherry (Michael) Stockley of Sullivan, MO, and Kenneth (Sherry) Bates of Porta Gorda, FL; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jasper Bates; son, Joseph Bates; two grandchildren; and nine brothers.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Meadow Green Memorial Park (formerly Restlawn Cemetery) in Huron. The Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
